43 year old Scott has been heavily involved with high tech and business since his early teens. He was using spreadsheets over 30 years ago.Scott began his career in the 1980's following his father Peter into finance and media world with Kerry Packers' Consolidated Press Group - Australia's richest man and media mogul at the time.
A few years later he moved into the emerging personal computer industry with the world's fasting growing computer reseller network "ComputerLand". Within a couple of years he was National IBM Product Marketing Manager.
In the early 90's, he took off to UK to explore new "multimedia computing". He teamed up with a Scottish entrepreneur and launched a CD based advertising industry creative directory. The business was sold to a major publishing company in less than eighteen months.
On return to Australian he provided new media consulting to corporate and government clients and after a quick stint with an advanced technology division of Telstra then left high tech to take over management of the Intersection Tavern at Ramsgate, Sydney.
It was at the pub he honed his customer centric approach and developed a unique understanding of community engagement.
In November 1999 the hotel was sold and soon after Scott and his father Peter launched BANGitUP.com, an internet portal for the $141b Australian Building and Construction Industry.
Over the next seven years BANGitUP grew to over 75,000 builders and trades listed.
In 2007, after his fathers sudden passing away, Scott resigned and the business was sold.
In January 2008 Scott relaunched Max Media and began consulting to businesses interested in digital media strategy and online social marketing.
In July 2008, Max Media formed a joint venture, "The CLIVE Video Project" with Ridge Films to provide out of the box Internet video solutions.
In January 2010, Max Media formed a joint venture with the Orbital Marketing Group to focus on Fan Retention Engagement and Development ("FRED") for sports marketing.
