Biography

During the 1960's Maxy Dad Peter Maxworthy was a guitarist in "The Statesmen", one of Sydney's leading band behind artists such as Little Pattie and Roland Storm.

In the 70's, Pete and Bev's son Brett, at the tender age of 12, became EMI's youngest recording artist.  

A year later Brett starred as "Barney" in the Columbia Pictures feature film "Lost in the Wild".

During the 80 to 90's, the band was a full family affair with dad Peter, sons Brett and Scott and younger sister Nicolle performing at local clubs, pubs and corporate events in the Sutherland Shire and across Sydney.

In the 1990's the family took over management of the Intersection Tavern at Ramsgate and became one of the best live entertainment venues in Sydney.

In 1999 the pub was the sold in 1999 and the band went back to playing in the local Clubs.

They became the NRL Cronulla Sharks providing entertainment to thousands of supporters every home game and performed monthly at Cronulla RSL (and still do 12 year later)

Today the band comprises of brothers Brett (vocals) and Scott (rhythm guitar), Bruno (lead guitar) [Peter sadly passed away in 2007] and the very beautiful and talented Rachael Woodlands on vocals.

The Maxys are available for clubs, corporate events, weddings and special private functions across Australia.
