Ok, 1st base - user (YOU in this case) "Interest" generated
Now any content must be relevant to your user - what's the key message you want to get across?
Some questions - the who, what, when, where, how (much/ works) and why?
You can't say everything so of the questions and replies which are most important right now for your visitor?
This is where customer profiling, marketing, buying behavior and psychology comes in.
Why do your customers buy from you?
There are only ever three parameters - price, product, service.
Everything else - reputations, sales, operations etc are inter-related.
As part of my personal photography journey I'm focusing on people > portraits > heads shots at the moment. In these days of Facebook then a good photo makes significant difference. Last week I added a new photo gallery to the maxys website to help in the management of photo shoot proofs. I'll upload low resolution jpg and the models can short list images they want as hi-res jpg or RAW for their portfolios. As part of the install of Gallery II I came across Cooliris and decided to test it. Code copied and pasted here... A minute or two later - 1st run failed. My CMS( Joomla) is stripping out any script. There's probably a checkbox in Joomla I can tick somewhere to override this BUT no time to look at this at the moment. The other option is to create a bit of code plugin like I've done with other scripts - it's a bit technical and will have to wait til later or there's probably a Joomla Extension someone has already created and I can just plug and play it in. I also add an add on to my Firefox browser - WOW, no that transforms they way we look at our photos.
Introducing Snap Shots from Snap.comI just installed a nice little tool on this site called Snap Shots that enhances links with visual previews of the destination site, interactive excerpts of Wikipedia articles, MySpace profiles, IMDb profiles and Amazon products, display inline videos, RSS, MP3s, photos, stock charts and more. Sometimes Snap Shots bring you the information you need, without your having to leave the site, while other times it lets you "look ahead," before deciding if you want to follow a link or not. Should you decide this is not for you, just click the Options icon in the upper right corner of the Snap Shot and opt-out.

A quick update since my last post – things have moved forward a bit faster than planned (smiles) The Maxys website has now been updated with Australian video content featuring yours truly…. The acting performance is a bit rough (smiles) but certainly good enough to quickly demonstrate our new, very cool, Australian internet video production and technology capabilities (this could very easily be you!) Hopefully the video adds a bit more personality and character to the site (smiles) which is what we are all about "personalising the web" to enhance your internet marketing, public relations and online customer engagement. Very interested in your feedback and comments? Anyway, with all the technology now sorted we are READY TO SHOOT YOUR VIDEO NOW We have limited times available this Thursday and Friday 17th and 18th July at the RidgeFilms Studio (Taren Point) for pilot/ demo/ early adopter productions (ie 1/2 price). The two most important elements of the productions are the Scripts and Talent. If you can please let me know if you want to book in a time so we can get the process started. For more information please click here Video encoding and software (just two lines of code for your website) can all be ready to be implemented within seven days. Any questions please give us a call or send a note.
